On November 9, following a nationwide search, the New York-based Doris Duke Charitable Foundation (DDCF) announced Konrad Ng as the new executive director of Doris Duke’s Shangri La, its center for the study of Islamic arts and cultures located in Honolulu, Hawai‘i. 

On November 10, New York-based multimedia artist Paul Pfeiffer was announced as a recipient of the 2015 United States Artists Fellowship, an award, which grants him USD 50,000 to pursue creative projects and professional development.

The Calder Foundation announced on October 20 the selection of 38-year-old British artist Haroon Mirza as the 2015 Calder Prize Laureate.
