Through her drawings and mixed-media sculptures and installations, New York-based Bengali artist Rina Banerjee pursues her fascination with mythology, fairy tales, anthropology, ethnography and the role of cultures, using textiles, clothing, furnishings, craft supplies and natural materials. ArtAsiaPacific visited Banerjee at her studio in New York’s Chelsea neighborhood, where she shared eight favorite components from her installation practice.
