Gagosian Asia’s smooth-talking rainmaker Nick Simunovic is exiting his office in Hong Kong’s Pedder Building in Central. Although still in charge of “Asia,” he will work remotely from Toronto and shuttle between Asia and New York—while passing the behemoth’s regional reigns to Han-I Wang in Hong Kong and Christina You in Beijing. These two up-and-comers helped cultivate a new crop of young collectors across Greater China during the darkest days of Covid. Although two’s company, surely there is still space to fill Simunovic’s big shoes. Only Mandarin, Bahasa, or Korean speakers should apply!
