Seoul-based Gallery Hyundai, Korea’s longest-living contemporary art gallery, celebrates its 55th anniversary on April 4. Founded by Park Myung-ja, its current president, the enterprise has long been in the critical and commercial forefront of art venues in East Asia, purveying regional emerging artists, Korean modernist masters, and blue-chip international figures.
