Cheng Chung-chuan
1931–2024 

One of the most important female modernist painters in Taiwan, Cheng Chung-chuan studied at the National Taiwan Normal University with key early modernists such as Chu Teh-chun, Liao Chi-chun, and Li Shih-chiao. She was a founding member of Taiwan’s Fifth Moon Group, and her works belong to major Taiwanese museums.
