Cultural organizations continued their march forward in 2024, with Beijing’s iconic 798 Art District merging with nearby 751 Design Park to become known as 798–751, China’s largest arts and creative industry cluster. Outside Beijing, in the coastal resort destination of Beidaihe, the active Aranya Art Center launched its affiliate Aranya Art Center North. In September, Paris’s Musée Rodin opened its first international branch, the Centre d’Art Rodin, in Shanghai’s Pudong New Area, as part of solidifying cultural relations between China and France. In the West Bund Cultural Corridor, the Austrian media arts group Ars Electronica Solutions opened Deep Space Future, a multisensory showroom dedicated to digital art, at the West Bund Museum.
