Documenta Fifteen Faces Accusations of Antisemitism

Two days after documenta fifteen’s public opening, ruangruapa, the festival’s artistic directors, announced on June 20 that they and Documenta had decided to cover with a black curtain a giant, outdoor mural by the Indonesian collective Taring Padi because the work “triggers antisemitic readings.” A day later, the work was dismantled.
