TA Magazine
By Kary Kwok

Hong Kong, 2024

For queer people, there is no guarantee for inclusivity, particularly in Asia. But as regional LGBTQ+ movements have gained traction, artistic expressions have become an outlet to bring visibility to marginalized communities and challenge conservative norms. Artworks by queer artists and allies alike subvert prevailing beliefs and reshape cultural narratives, resisting assimilation into heteronormative structures. Providing a platform for these works is the new biannual TA Magazine, spearheaded and curated by the celebrated photographer and creative director Kary Kwok, which brings forth a “community zine focusing on contemporary LGBTQIA+ and nonbinary issues” through unique media.
