More than half a year since Covid-19 struck, galleries have become accustomed to the virtual fair format, as exemplified by robust results from Art Basel’s latest online iteration. However, the success of Unscheduled, a small, impromptu fair held in Hong Kong during a brief window of public reopenings between spikes in infections, affirmed the importance of IRL events.
