My Office Playlist: Gone

Track #13: Gone by Rosé

ALL OF THE MOCHI ICE CREAM ARE GONE!

Picking up from where we left off in the last blog, ice cream and the Hong Kong Ice Cream Concern Group have become hot topics at our office. As we were sharing our favorite ice cream flavors, the famous mochi ice cream popped up into our conversation.

The mochi ice cream has been around for a long time but remains a dessert loved by many. It was also sold everywhere—until now. A coworker shared the shocking news that mochi ice cream have been out-of-stock from many stores in the past few weeks, after someone in the Hong Kong Ice Cream Concern Group made a post about it, causing it to go viral. The depleting supply has now pushed people into stocking up when they come across the desired dessert—continuing the endless loop.

This week’s illustration is not only of the mochi ice cream but also of the emotions we had when we found out that it’s gone from the convenience store freezer.

Curated by an ArtAsiaPacific designer, “My Office Playlist” is a showcase of music that illustrates a spectrum of moods at the office and during commuting hours.
